Formed in 2012 by current director, Mark Dempsey, Computex has grown organically through word of mouth and has been backed up by a quality, well priced service.

Managing Director
Mark was born in a small picturesque village nestled in the
heart of Scotland. During his career in Information Technology, he has
accumulated nearly four decades of expertise in the ever-evolving field. as he
joined the ranks of industry giants like HP, Microsoft, Reuters, and BP.
In 2012, when Mark’s daughter’s school sought assistance with their IT systems. Mark stepped up and offered his expertise. Inspired by the experience and recognising a need for reliable IT services in the Education sector, he founded “Computex” that same year. The company grew exponentially, quickly becoming a trusted name in the IT industry, catering to schools and colleges and delivering
cutting-edge solutions.
Beyond the realm of computers and code, Mark harbours a deep
passion for three things that bring him joy: dogs, Ferraris, and Land Rovers.
When it comes to cars, he enjoys the elegance of Ferraris and
the rugged spirit of Land Rovers and the finer details of engineering and design.
Mark continues to push the boundaries of what technology can achieve in Education.
Director
Son of Mark, Patrick shares the same ethos when it comes to running Computex. He believes in giving customers the best possible service and products at a price to suit the client.
Patrick runs our audio visual department and has extensive knowledge and experience with both Epson and Clevertouch audio-visual products, always providing the correct solution to the customer. Patrick is also involved running of the company and works closely with both partners and clients.
Outside of the office, Patrick as a great interest in cars, travel and animals! He loves walking the dogs in Connemara or attending race meetings on a regular basis.
Sales Director
Maureen is an Education Technology Solutions expert with nearly three decades of successful experience working with Schools, Universities and Further Education Colleges. She is a passionate believer in the use of technology in teaching and learning at all education levels. She understands their challenges and helps Education institutions make the best use of their technology. Maureen thrives on keeping up to date with emerging EdTech and is passionate about maintaining steadfast relationships with her clients. Maureen successfully ran her own Apple Solutions Experts business for more than 15 years, where she achieved Apple Education Solutions Experts and Apple Authorised Service status’. The company was awarded multiple sole supply contracts to Ireland’s leading universities and schools. Following on from the sale of her business, Maureen headed up the Sales and Marketing teams for Apple Premium Resellers in Ireland and Middle East. More recently Maureen worked as Academic Territory Channel Manager for Microsoft Ireland, where she developed Microsoft Ireland’s Education Partner Network helping them work more strategically in the Education space. On her downtime when Maureen is not attending to her organic vegetable garden, she can be found sea swimming in the West of Ireland or on her gravel bike on the trails in Northern Spain.
Accounts Manager
Jessica is our accounts manager here at Computex. She looks after all customer invoices, queries and all other office tasks! She can be found in her spare time going for her regular swim and in the summer, loves to help out with her family on the farm.
Inventory Administrator
Bernie is in charge of purchasing, fulfilment and inventory here at Computex. She also helps out customer support and keeps on top of our back office systems. She likes to be creative with flowers, Interior Design, and all things Fashion in her spare time. She enjoys music and a live gigs and can be found on her evenings off taking a stroll on the Salthill Prom.
IT Support Engineer
James is a dedicated member of our IT support team. He works very hard both on and off site to ensure the customer gets the best quality service. He is a keen sports fan, and has big interest in GAA, Rugby, American Football, and Basketball. He coaches and assists with his local GAA, LGFA and Camogie clubs. He has played for and coached a Galway based Basketball team and was a player coach when they won Galway area Basketball leagues previously, he is interested in Tech and and new technologies. In his spare time he likes to read and go to the cinema and known to enjoy a pint of Guinness on occasion.
IT Support Engineer
Dorothy has been part of the Computex team since 2017 and worked mainly supporting our Mayo customers. Dorothy also works with our remote support team, helping out on our busy helpdesk. In her spare time, Dorothy spends her time looking after her toddler Tommy and is also an avid sports fan. She also enjoys reading and going for walks when she gets the chance.
IT Support Engineer
Julia is a member of our IT support team, she works alongside our other engineers both on-site and remotely to ensure our customers receive am efficient service. On her days off, Julia enjoys hillwalking in Connemara and the Burren, raising vegetables in her local allotment, helping Tidy Towns beautify Athenry, assisting her two young people to independence. She also enjoys jogging, yoga and Pilates.
IT Support Engineer
Vinny is the newest member of our IT support team. He works very well alongside our team to help deliver a friendly and efficient service at all times. In his spare time, Vinny loves to read, listening to music, watching sports and playing video games.
Audio Visual Engineer
Christy is in charge of all audio visual installations and projects here at Computex. He has a great interest and knowledge in our products and maintains a very high standard of work. In his spare time, Christy can be found spending time with his family and also dedicates his time to training the under 10s hurling and football teams at his home club, Annaghdown.
